The Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) Department performs coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement surgeries, chest surgeries, congenital heart surgeries and others (e.g., aortic aneurysm). 

From the time of DAFH’s inauguration in 1999, over 7,500 cardiac and chest surgeries have been performed at the hospital, with a 97.6% success rate. The surgeries included CABG (74%), valve repair and replacement surgeries (valve) (11%), CABG + valve (2%), chest surgeries (7%), and congenital heart surgeries and others (6%).

The CTS departments of Dar Al Fouad Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic collaborate to bring CTS medical developments and treatment methodologies to DAFH.
