Dar Al Fouad Hospital promotes health in the community through charitable giving and participating in health-related events.
The Society of Friends of Dar Al Fouad's Patients
DAFH supports a charitable unit called The Society of Friends of Dar Al Fouad's Patients. The society helps those who are unable to afford the medical services that DAFH provides.
Prospective patients send their medical records to the hospital with a letter stating their case. The society reviews the candidates case and has an independent company review the patient's financial status. Once the society approves the candidate as a patient, it funds the procedure or surgery to be performed at DAFH or another facility.
Over the years, the society has funded over 50 open heart surgeries for children with congenital heart failure. In addition, the society partially funded a liver transplant for a patient with a serious liver condition.
Kids of DAFH
DAFH sponsors events to treat children with medical conditions in need as part of its charity work. In the past, DAFH has hosted children and provided complimentry medical care.
DAFH TV Kids
DAFH collaborates with television programs to collect charitable donations for children with medical conditions who are in financial need. So far, these donations have made it possible to provide 60 children with much-needed heart procedures.
The Race for CureR
DAFH recently participated in The Race for CureR hosted by the Susan G. Komen for the CureR, Suzanne Mubarak's Women's International Peace Movement and Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt.
The event helped raise awareness of breast cancer and the actions women can take to prevent and detect breast cancer.
