Staff Nurse
General description: Assesses, plans, implements, reevaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with DAFH and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. The specialized department nurse uses specialized knowledge, judgment nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients. The specialized nurse follows DAFH standards of care, policies and procedures for the particular department. Specific description: 1. Provides safe therapeutic nursing care to patients within the specialized nursing unit at Dar Al Fouad facility. 2. Provides holistic nursing care, performing nursing procedures and related duties in a skillful, expedient and compassionate manner. 3. Functions as a member of the nursing and interdisciplinary health care team Nursing Patient /Patient Care ? Plans and provides holistic nursing care to the patients according to the Individual patient’s therapeutic plan of care. ? Integrates theoretical nursing knowledge into nursing practice ? Recognizes own limitations in knowledge and skill competencies and Seeks Consultation as indicated. ? Adheres to Dar Al Fouad nursing procedures in the delivery of nursing Care. ? Maintains patient confidentiality ? Acts as the patient’s advocate ? Recognizes the right of all patients to equal care regardless of their race, Nationality or religion. ? Promotes and provides health education, self care skills to patients and Family as indicated Work experience requirements: Work experience of 2 years is preferred Education requirements: Education: * A Bachelor Degree in Nursing is preferred, High Diploma Nurse, Diploma Nurse Degree minimum requirement. Desirable: postgraduate qualifications in area of specialty. Skills: Good Interpersonal Skills
