Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) Department performs coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement surgeries, chest surgeries, congenital heart surgeries and others (e.g., aortic aneurysm).�
From the time of DAFH�™s inauguration in 1999, over 7,500 cardiac and chest surgeries have been performed at the hospital, with a 97.6% success rate. The surgeries included CABG (74%), valve repair and replacement surgeries (valve) (11%), CABG + valve (2%), chest surgeries (7%), and congenital heart surgeries and others (6%).

Electrophysiology
The Department of Electrophysiology diagnoses and treats patients with heart conditions necessitating pacemakers and defibrillators. The department is renown for being one of the best in the Middle East. It provides electrophysiology treatments to patients of all ages including children.
The department also performs same-day catheter-based electrophysiological treatment procedures in DAFH�™s catheter lab under local anesthesia. The procedure measures the electrical activity of the heart to discover rapid heart rate problems. Treatment is provided instantaneously using radiofrequency catheter ablation. Our staff is highly capable and credible and the total success rate is higher than 95%, with a complication rate of less than 0.1%.
